Keyboard shortcuts

Keyboard shortcuts#

Workbench provides keyboard operation inside specific menus and fields. It does not install a global hotkey system or a shortcut-remapping page.

Slash command menu#

In a supported ChatGPT or Claude composer, type one of these signed-in commands:

Swipe horizontally, or focus the table and use arrow keys, to see every column.

CommandOpens
//promptSaved prompts
//pinPinned prompts and responses
//scratchpadActive and saved scratchpads

There is no //sequence command.

  • Arrow Up / Arrow Down: move through results and wrap at the ends.
  • Tab or Enter: activate the highlighted result and prevent the host composer from sending that keypress.
  • Escape: close the menu and leave the text you typed in the composer.

The slash menu is enabled by default and can be disabled in Settings. These controls apply only while the Workbench menu is open.

Strict Submission Mode#

Strict Submission Mode changes when an ordinary composer submission is allowed. It does not change Tab or Enter selection while the slash menu is actively handling that key. The AI website's own composer behavior still applies after the Workbench menu closes.

Other keyboard-enabled surfaces#

Search Anything, result lists, variable dialogs, and ordinary browser controls expose their own focus and keyboard behavior. Follow the hints shown in the active surface.

Shortcuts Workbench does not provide#

  • No Workbench replacement for Ctrl/Command+F
  • No Delete-key command for deleting saved content
  • No global Optimize or AI-action hotkey in the composer
  • No keyboard shortcut to toggle the sidebar
  • No hidden sequence slash command
  • No shortcut-remapping settings page
