Export formats

Export formats#

Workbench supports TXT, Markdown, JSON, DOCX, PDF, and CSV. ZIP is automatic packaging for some bulk operations, not a selectable content format.

Plan availability#

Swipe horizontally, or focus the table and use arrow keys, to see every column.

PlanAvailable export formats

Single and bulk behavior#

Swipe horizontally, or focus the table and use arrow keys, to see every column.

ContentSingle exportBulk CSVOther bulk formats
ConversationsOne direct fileOne CSV per conversation inside a ZIPOne file per conversation inside a ZIP
PromptsOne direct fileOne combined CSVOne file per prompt inside a ZIP
ScratchpadsOne direct fileOne combined CSVOne file per scratchpad inside a ZIP

A bulk command continues to use bulk packaging when only one item is selected. This means a one-item conversation bulk export can still produce a ZIP, and a one-item non-CSV prompt or scratchpad bulk export can also produce a ZIP.

Downloads and filenames#

Exports download immediately after generation; there is no server-side export inbox. Characters that are invalid in filenames are replaced with hyphens. When ZIP entries would have the same name, Workbench adds numbered suffixes to keep every file.

Format notes#

  • TXT: plain text without rich formatting.
  • Markdown: portable headings, lists, links, and code-friendly text.
  • JSON: structured content suitable for backup or processing.
  • DOCX: editable word-processing document.
  • PDF: paginated fixed-layout output; long content continues across pages.
  • CSV: tabular output; its bulk behavior depends on the content type as shown above.

Reports such as Citation Analysis and Compare Across LLMs can be read-only and may not expose export, print, or share controls.
