Smart Suggestions
Smart Suggestions is a small, context-aware card that surfaces a workflow tip, a billing notice, or a next step at the moment it's useful, without interrupting what you're doing. This page covers turning it on, where it appears, and dismissing or re-surfacing a suggestion.
Prerequisites:
- Enable Cloud Sync & Intelligence on: Smart Suggestions depends on it and can't be turned on otherwise. See general settings.
Turn it on#
Turn Smart Suggestions on or off from Settings. Trying to turn it on before Enable Cloud Sync & Intelligence is on shows an explanatory message rather than failing silently — turn that on first.
Where suggestions appear#
A suggestion is a small card, never a toast or a full-page interruption: it shows in the sidebar if it's open, anchored to the floater if visible, or as a small pop-up card otherwise. There are 53 distinct suggestion types, covering workflow tips, billing notices, and upgrade prompts, and it works the same on ordinary web pages as it does on the chat platforms.
Act on a suggestion#
Clicking a suggestion genuinely performs the action or jumps straight to the right screen — never just a pointer telling you where to go.
To bring one up on demand rather than waiting, click Show Next Suggestion in the pop-up.
Dismiss a suggestion#
- Close (X): Snoozes that suggestion for a few days; it returns later.
- Don't show again: Opts out of that specific suggestion permanently.
FAQ#
Why can't I turn Smart Suggestions on?+
Enable Cloud Sync & Intelligence needs to be on first. Smart Suggestions depends on it and shows a message explaining this if you try otherwise.
If I close a suggestion, is it gone for good?+
No, closing only snoozes it for a few days. Use Don't show again to opt out of that one permanently.
Does clicking a suggestion just show me where to go?+
No, it performs the action or opens the right screen directly.
Does Smart Suggestions work on ordinary web pages?+
Yes, with the same Enable Cloud Sync & Intelligence requirement as everywhere else — only the suggestion content changes by context.
How do I get a suggestion without waiting for one to appear?+
Show Next Suggestion in the pop-up, once Smart Suggestions is on.
