Account & Billing
Your account lives in two places with one clean division: the extension shows and links, the website transacts. Inside Cognardo Workbench sit your profile, your security, your credit usage, and every upgrade path; on workbench.cognardo.com, pricing and account pages handle subscribing, plan changes, and payment, processed end to end by Paddle. Underneath it all runs the model that shapes everything else: the free plan is forever, and paying is a choice, not a countdown. This section covers both sides and every flow between them.
How account and billing work#
- The extension shows and links; the website transacts: Status, usage, and upgrade paths live in the Account tab and the pop-up. Money moves only on the website, through Paddle.
- Free is forever: No trial, no card, and no Paddle subscription on the free plan. Payment enters only at upgrade.
- Paddle end to end: Checkout, card storage, invoices, GST details, and coupons all live with Paddle. Cognardo Workbench never sees or stores your card.
- Upgrades land instantly: Free to paid runs through checkout on the pricing page; PRO to MAX is instant at a pro-rated cost; and the extension updates itself the moment payment succeeds.
- Endings land at cycle end: Downgrades and cancellations take effect when the billing cycle turns, with access intact until then, no refund for the remainder, and the subscription restorable the whole way.
- Refunds are the exceptions: Payments that went wrong, not plans that changed minds, with the policy of record at workbench.cognardo.com/legal/refund.
