Manage your plan
Plan management is a website matter: the extension shows your plan and links out, and every change runs on workbench.cognardo.com, processed by Paddle. This page covers the changes themselves: upgrading from free, moving between the paid plans, topping up AI credits, and the payment method, GST details, and coupons handled in Paddle's billing portal. Downgrading and cancelling share one model, covered in cancel your subscription.
Prerequisites:
- A Cognardo Workbench account: Plans attach to your account. See create an account.
- Signed in on the website: Purchases and plan changes run for signed-in users, with the same account as the extension.
Check your current plan#
Three places show it: the pop-up header, the Account tab on the main extension page, and the website's account page, where the subscription itself is managed. See account settings.
Upgrade from free to PRO or MAX#
- Open pricing on the website, signed in. Every upgrade link in the extension, from the PRO and MAX marked controls to the Account tab's buttons, lands here.
- Select the plan. What each includes, and what it costs, sits on the page itself.
- Complete Paddle checkout: fill in your details and make the payment. Paddle ends on a success page, or a failure page, in which case start again from pricing.
- Your plan updates on its own: the account's entitlements change the moment payment succeeds, and the extension picks it up automatically. If it has not reflected after a couple of minutes, work the ladder in billing.
Upgrade from PRO to MAX#
Moving up between the paid plans does not wait for the next cycle:
- It is instant: The upgrade takes effect immediately, MAX features included.
- It is pro-rated: You pay only for what remains: Paddle charges the difference between the two plans for the unused days of the current billing cycle, not a second full month, with the arithmetic done by Paddle at the moment of upgrade.
Top up AI credits#
When the monthly pool runs low before the month does:
- Open pricing, signed in. The top-up control on the extension's Account tab lands here too.
- Choose the top-up and complete Paddle checkout.
- The credits join your pool, and the Account tab's usage view reflects them. What credits power, and how the monthly pool renews, is covered in Enhance.
Payment method, GST, and coupons#
Everything after the first payment lives in Paddle's billing portal, entered from the website's account page:
- Payment method: Changeable any time, card details staying with Paddle end to end. Cognardo Workbench never sees or stores them.
- GST details: Businesses can enter their GST details with Paddle for their invoices.
- Discount coupons: Where a coupon is available, for everyone, a group, or an individual account on selected plans, it is applied through Paddle.
Downgrade#
Moving down, MAX to PRO or paid to free, follows the cancellation model: the change lands at the end of the billing cycle, access runs until then, there is no refund for the remainder, and the subscription can be restored any time before the cycle ends from the account page. FAQ#
When does an upgrade take effect?+
Immediately, both from free and between paid plans, with the extension updating itself after payment. A couple of minutes of lag is normal on a busy day; the checks beyond that are in billing.
What does pro-rated mean?+
Paying only for the remainder. Upgrading mid-cycle from PRO to MAX charges the price difference for the days left in the cycle, calculated by Paddle, rather than a fresh full month on top of one already paid.
Where do I change my card?+
In Paddle's billing portal, reached from the account page, any time. Your card lives with Paddle throughout.
Can I get an invoice with GST details?+
Yes. Business GST details are entered with Paddle, and the invoicing follows from there.
When does a downgrade take effect?+
At the end of the billing cycle, with full access until then and no refund for the remainder. Change your mind before the cycle ends and the subscription restores from the account page. See cancel your subscription.
