Cancel Your Subscription

Cancel your subscription

Cancelling in Cognardo Workbench runs on one model: nothing ends today. A cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing cycle, access runs untouched until then, and the decision stays reversible the whole way: the subscription can be restored any time before the cycle turns. Underneath every paid plan, the free plan waits, permanent, so cancelling never means losing the product. This page covers cancelling, the window before it lands, restoring, and what changes when the cycle finally turns. Downgrading between plans follows the same model, covered alongside it in manage your plan.

Prerequisites:

  • A paid plan: Cancellation applies to PRO and MAX subscriptions. The free plan has nothing to cancel and never expires.
  • Signed in on the website: The subscription is managed on workbench.cognardo.com/account, with the same account as the extension.

The cycle-end model#

  • Cancellation lands at the end of the billing cycle: Not at the moment you click. The cycle you paid for runs its full course.
  • Access is untouched until then: Every PRO or MAX feature, and the plan's credit pool, work exactly as before until the cycle turns.
  • No refund for the remainder: The paid days are used, not returned. The exceptions, payment charged but never credited among them, are covered in refunds.
  • Restorable the whole way: Any time before the cycle ends, the subscription can be restored from the account page, and the plan simply continues.

Cancel the subscription#

  1. Open workbench.cognardo.com/account, signed in.
  2. Find your subscription with your current plan.
  3. Use the cancellation control and confirm it:
    1. The cancellation is scheduled for the end of the billing cycle.
    2. Nothing changes today: the plan, its features, and its credits run on until the cycle turns.

Restore before the cycle ends#

Changed your mind, or cancelled by mistake:

  1. Open workbench.cognardo.com/account, signed in.
  2. Use the restore control on your subscription.
  3. The cancellation is withdrawn and the plan continues as before, billing cycle and all.

When the cycle turns#

If the cancellation stands, the turn of the cycle is where the change happens:

  • The plan becomes free: The account lands on the free plan, which is permanent. Sign-in, settings, and the account itself carry on unchanged.
  • PRO and MAX features gate again: The marked features return to their locked state, each carrying its upgrade path back to pricing.
  • Credits follow the free pool: The monthly credit allowance becomes the free plan's, covered in Enhance.
  • Your content stays yours: Conversations, prompts, sequences, scratchpads, and profiles remain on the account. The free plan's caps apply from the turn onward, so a library built above those caps is worth exporting before the cycle ends, for certainty as much as for backup. See exporting.

FAQ#

When does my cancellation take effect?+

At the end of the billing cycle. Until then the plan runs in full, features and credits included.

Do I get a refund for the unused days?+

No. Normal cancellations and downgrades run the paid cycle out instead of refunding it. The exceptions are covered in refunds.

How do I undo a cancellation?+

Restore the subscription from the account page any time before the cycle ends, and the plan continues as if nothing happened.

What happens to my saved content when the plan ends?+

It stays on your account. The free plan's caps apply from the cycle's turn, so if your library sits above them, export before the change lands. See exporting.

Is cancelling the same as deleting my account?+

No. Cancelling ends the paid plan and lands you on the permanent free plan, content intact. Deleting the account removes the account and its data, covered in delete my data.
