Create an account

A Cognardo Workbench account is free and unlocks cloud sync, cross-device access, and AI credits. Sign up from the Welcome to Workbench page after installation, either with Google or with an email address and password. Both paths require agreeing to the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.

Prerequisites:

  • Cognardo Workbench installed: The Welcome to Workbench page opens automatically after installation. If it is not installed yet, start by installing the Chrome extension.
  • A Google account, for the Google path: Only needed if you sign up with Google.

Open the Create Account Page#

  1. Go to the Welcome to Workbench tab that opened after installation.
  2. Click Create My Account. The Create Account page opens.

Sign up with Google#

  1. Select the checkbox I have read and agree to the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy. The two links in the checkbox label open each document.
  2. Click Sign up with Google.
  3. Choose the Google account to use.
    1. Google opens a Choose an account screen to continue to Cognardo Workbench, listing the accounts saved in your browser.
    2. Click an account, or click Use another account to enter a different one.
  4. Review the consent screen and approve it.
    1. The screen is headed Sign in to Cognardo Workbench and lists what Google shares with Cognardo Workbench: your name, profile picture, and email address.
    2. Click Continue to approve. Cancel stops the sign-up.
  5. Wait while your account is created. The page shows Creating your account… with a spinner. Keep the tab open until it finishes.

Sign up with an Email Address#

  1. Enter your email address in the Email Address field.
  2. Create a password in the Password field.
    1. The panel under the field lists three requirements: at least 8 characters, one uppercase letter, and one numeric digit. Each marker fills as your password meets it.
    2. The eye icon on the right side of the field shows or hides what you typed.
  3. Select the checkbox I have read and agree to the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
  4. Click Create Account. The button stays greyed out until both fields and the checkbox are complete.

With your account created, continue to sign in to the extension. That page covers signing in and turning on Enable Cloud Sync & Intelligence.

FAQ#

What are the password requirements?+

A password needs at least 8 characters, one uppercase letter, and one numeric digit. The Create Account page checks each requirement as you type.

Is a Cognardo Workbench account free?+

Yes. Creating an account costs nothing, and the free plan includes cloud sync and monthly AI credits. For what each plan includes, see pricing.

Do I have to agree to the Terms and Conditions?+

Yes. Both sign-up paths require the agreement checkbox. The Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy links on the form open each document.

I already have an account. Where do I sign in?+

Click Have an account? Sign in on the Welcome page, or Sign In at the bottom of the Create Account page. Then continue with sign-in to the extension.
