Pin Extension
Pin the extension
Pinning places the Cognardo Workbench icon directly in the Chrome toolbar. Chrome installs extensions unpinned, so until you pin it, the icon sits behind the puzzle-piece Extensions icon. The pop-up opens from this toolbar icon, and the next steps in Getting started use it, so pin it once, and it stays one click away.
Prerequisites:
- Cognardo Workbench installed: If it is not installed yet, start by installing the Chrome extension.
Pin Cognardo Workbench to Toolbar#
- Click the puzzle-piece Extensions icon on the right side of the Chrome toolbar. A popup titled Extensions opens beneath it.
- Find the Cognardo Workbench row in the popup.
- Click the pin icon in the Cognardo Workbench row. It sits on the right side of the row, next to the three-dot menu.
- The pin control switches to its pinned state. Hover over it, and the tooltip reads Unpin.
- The Cognardo Workbench icon appears in the toolbar, immediately to the left of the puzzle-piece Extensions icon.
- Close the popup by clicking anywhere outside it. The pinned icon stays in the toolbar.
FAQ#
Do I have to pin the extension?+
No. Cognardo Workbench runs whether or not the icon is pinned. Unpinned, you open the pop-up by clicking the puzzle-piece Extensions icon and then clicking Cognardo Workbench. Pinning removes that extra step.
How do I unpin it later?+
Open the puzzle-piece Extensions menu and click the pin control in the Cognardo Workbench row again. Unpinning hides the toolbar icon. It does not disable or remove the extension.
Cognardo Workbench is not listed in the Extensions menu. What now?+
The installation may not have completed. See troubleshooting.
