Individual Conversation
Individual conversation
Every captured conversation has its own page inside the main extension page. It holds the full exchange, turn by turn with every version kept, plus the conversation's metadata and its management actions: favorite, rename, export, and delete. This page covers both routes into the view and every control on it.
Prerequisites:
- A captured conversation: Conversations record automatically while you are signed in. See chat capture.
- Know the surfaces: This page assumes the sidebar, the pop-up, and the main extension page from the interface.
Open a conversation#
Two routes lead to the page:
- From the live chat: In the sidebar's Collect tab, click the open control beside the conversation title. The conversation opens on its own page in a new tab, and the chat stays exactly where it was.
- From the library: Open the pop-up, go to the Conversations tab of the main extension page, and click the conversation's row. The library itself is covered in the conversations main page.
The page at a glance#
- Title and metadata: The conversation title sits above its turn count, its last-updated time, the model it ran on, and its sync badge. SYNCED means the conversation is backed up to your account.
- Back: Returns you to the conversations list.
- Conversations and Pins: The two library tabs stay available at the top of the page.
Read the full exchange#
- Click a collapsed turn row. Each row previews the prompt with a chevron on the left.
- The turn expands into the complete exchange:
- The prompt appears under a YOU label with an orange accent, and the response under an ASSISTANT label.
- Numbered citation markers in the response, such as [1] and [2], mark the claims the response sourced.
- Scroll inside the expanded turn. It has its own scrollbar, so the page around it stays put.
- Click the chevron again to collapse the turn back to its preview.
Switch between turn versions#
The toolbar at the top of an expanded turn carries the version selector: the current version label, such as v3, with a chevron on each side. Step backward and forward to read any earlier draft of the turn. How versions are created is covered in chat capture.
Manage the conversation#
Four actions sit beside the title:
- Add to favorites: The star marks the conversation as a favorite.
- Rename: The pencil opens the title for editing.
- Export PRO: Opens a format menu: Text (.txt), Markdown (.md), JSON (.json), Word (.docx), PDF (.pdf), and CSV (.csv). Choose one to download the conversation. The formats available depend on your plan; see pricing. Exporting in bulk lives on the conversations main page.
- Delete conversation: Removes the conversation.
FAQ#
Does opening this page affect the live chat?+
No. The page opens in its own tab. The original conversation, and the sidebar beside it, stay untouched.
Can I read an earlier version of a turn?+
Yes. Expand the turn and step through its versions with the chevrons beside the version label. Every version is kept.
What does the SYNCED badge mean?+
The conversation is backed up to your account and available on every device you sign in to. Without Cloud Sync & Intelligence, conversations stay on the current device instead. Sync controls are covered in settings.
Can I export several conversations at once?+
Yes, from the library: select the conversations and use Export Selected. See the conversations main page.
Is this page the same for claude.ai conversations?+
Yes. Conversations captured on claude.ai open in the identical view, with the same actions and versioning.
