Enhance Interfaces
Enhance interfaces
Enhance actions are reachable from two surfaces that carry the same catalog: the floater, for whatever text is on the page, and the sidebar's Enhance tab, for the current conversation. This page is the reference map of those access points, and where to look afterward. How the surfaces themselves work is covered in the interface.
Prerequisites:
- Signed in: Enhance actions require a signed-in account. See sign in to the extension.
- AI credits: Every action draws on your credit pool. See account settings.
Every access point at a glance#
| Access point | Opens from | What you reach |
|---|---|---|
| Floater quick actions | The green floater dot | Optimize, Explain, Web Summary, and Copy, on the chat platforms and the wider web. |
| Sidebar, Enhance tab | Open sidebar for more actions on the floater | Optimize, Compare Across LLMs, Rewrite Tone, Explain, and Web Summary, on the current conversation. |
| Prompt Library edit modal | Editing a saved prompt on the main extension page | Optimize, applied to that prompt before saving. |
| AI History | The Account tab of the main extension page | Every past Enhance action, with its result. |
The floater#
The floater's quick actions carry Optimize, Explain, Web Summary, and Copy wherever the floater runs, the chat platforms and the wider web alike. Selecting text first narrows Explain and Web Summary to that selection; with nothing selected, they work on the page as a whole. See scratchpads on non-LLM pages for the floater beyond the chat.
The sidebar: the Enhance tab#
Enhance is the in-page surface for the full catalog: Optimize, Compare Across LLMs, Rewrite Tone, Explain, and Web Summary, each running on the current conversation's content. Every control shows its credit cost before it runs.
The main extension page: AI History#
Past runs of every Enhance action, along with Citation Reports and Cross-Compare reports, are listed on the AI History page under the Account tab, covered in progress, history, and credits.
FAQ#
Do the floater and the sidebar offer the same actions?+
Not identically. The floater carries Optimize, Explain, Web Summary, and Copy; the sidebar's Enhance tab adds Compare Across LLMs and Rewrite Tone on top of that same set.
Where do I see what an action will cost before running it?+
On the action's own button, in both the floater and the sidebar. Every Enhance action shows its credit cost up front.
Where do I find a result after I have run an action?+
In the overlay itself while it runs, and afterward on the AI History page under the Account tab. See progress, history, and credits.
Do these access points differ on claude.ai?+
No. The floater and the sidebar's Enhance tab work identically on chatgpt.com and claude.ai.
